Convention Make & Take Pennant

So, while I was getting ready for my big Retired Stamp Set BOGO event, I wanted to display one of the Make & Take projects from Convention....Oh, how I love this!!  There is a matching card box that goes with it....that will be on my TO DO list the next time I get some quiet time away from the kids!

Here is the AWESOME pennant that we got all the supplies & directions for!

Can you see the pinwheel made from the Timeless Portrait paper (on the left?). I also love how the cards can hang off the hemp twine....I am definitely going to use this idea to display cards moving forward!. What I REALLY like is this whole pennant matches the colors in my dining room (I have it hanging on my hutch) It just might stay there for awhile so I can gaze at it everyday!

Speaking of my BOGO event, want to see the craziness that is my Dining Room today??

...and that's only part of it!

Yep, the kids ate in the playroom tonight!!

If you're in the area....the second half of my sale is doing on right now until 8:00pm this evening! Grab some great, Retired stamp sets and then use that amount towards some NEW stuff....WOO HOO!!

Well, I'm Off to do some BOGO-ing!

The Heartfelt Stampers & Me
I am part of a fabulous team named “The Heartfelt Stampers”.  Being a part of a large group of inspired, creative and wonderful women is a great place to be!  Whether you just want to talk about a new project you’re working on or exchanging business building ideas…you’ll be sure to find someone who shares your passion and interests!
I am also always there for you! I chose to be a Full Time Stamp-at-Home Mom…for me, the best choice for my kids AND for me!  I look forward to our group meetings and events, not only for the stamping opportunities but for the friendships and adult conversation that comes with it!  I started out as a “hobby demonstrator” a few years ago and joined Stampin’ Up! for the hugely discounted starter kit and for the VAST amount of inspiration and project ideas that Stampin’ Up! and it’s community offers.  Being “just a hobby demonstrator” is WONDERFUL! But, I can tell you, if you are looking for “more” that can be yours too! Join me in trying to earn the Stampin’ Up! incentive trip to Fiji in 2013!!
But, whatever your goals are,  I would love to have YOU give our group a try. There's NO commitment. NO obligation. Only opportunities should you choose to partake!
And right now there is so much going on to "sweeten" the deal.... Read on to learn more about it!

Stamp Fests
3 times a year we have a "Stamp Fest" where we get together and stamp the day away! Our next Stamp Fest is coming up on August 6th - next Saturday!!!
Since we just returned from Stampin' Up!'s Convention, we will be using this Stamp Fest to bring Convention back to everyone who couldn’t attend! We'll have several classes throughout the day showcasing some of the fabulous projects taught there. In addition, there's Prize Patrol Giveaways, Product Demonstrations and More!

If you live local - I hope that you'll join the Team so that you can attend either this event, or another similar one in the future! If you love long distance - then you're able to participate in ALL of these events by mail so that you don't have to miss a thing!!!!! Long Distance kits include all of the supplies and a DVD of the presentations.
Discounted Stamp & Chat
All Team Members are able to attend my monthly Stamp & Chat at a $5 discount! That means that you can come and create 6 cards each month for ONLY $10.00.
This is a great way to help you build your samples and learn more about stamping and products.
If you live too far away to attend in person, long distance "on the go" kits are available for this as well, at the same discounted price!

Stamping Retreat Weekends
One of the BIGGEST highlights of being a Heartfelt Stamper is the ability to join us for our Annual Stamping Retreat Weekends that take place every October!
This 3 day retreat is an opportunity for Team Members near and far to join together. We have girls driving hours to get there, and some flying in to join us! It's WORTH it!!!! The weekend is so affordable - it varies, but is right around $140 for all of your classes for the weekend AND lodging!!! Which makes it easier for our long distance girls to be able to swing it and join us, plane ticket and all.
We are finalizing our Registration for the retreat over the next couple of weeks - which means that there's time for YOU to join us and join in on the retreat fun!
The retreat will take place October 7th - 9th.
 $99 Kit Starter Kit Special
To join our Team, it is normally $175 - but you get SO MUCH for your money.... over $380 worth of product!!!
That option is always available, but right now, there is a special, smaller kit available for just $99!
That means that for just $99 (which you're spending on PRODUCT of YOUR choice, it's NOT just a joining fee) you can be a part of it all!
FREE Christmas Keepsake Kit!
AND -- if you join by the end of July, you get this BEAUTIFUL Christmas Keepsake Kit for FREE!!!! The photos just don't do it justice. I had the opportunity to see it in "real life" at Convention and it is BIGGER and BETTER than I thought.... it's simply stunning!
It was designed by Shelli Gardner herself, and is a $40 value including a NEW STAMP SET from the NEW HOLIDAY MINI and everything else you need!

FREE Ribbon or Fabric Share!
And as if THAT wasn't enough, I'm personally offering that in addition to the normal Welcome Folder and hand stamped welcome card and hand stamped welcome gift that I give each of my new Team Members, I will ALSO give you a FREE Ribbon or Fabric Share for joining by the end of July!!!
What do you have to lose?
Ask yourself! You don't owe me or the company anything for giving it a try. The WORST case scenario is that you decide it isn't for you and quietly slip off the Demonstrator List. Meanwhile, you've gotten some great products at a great price and enjoyed some fabulous perks. So REALLY.... what do you have to lose?
Click HERE to see more details about the $99 kit -- but remember that the kit is FULLY customizable, so even what is listed can be changed for anything of equal or lesser value!
For More Information
Call me at 716.568.4362 or  e-mail me at raeannskerrett@hotmail.com.  You can also sign up online by going HERE. Remember, to take advantage of all the great “extras” listed above, you need to purchase your starter kit by July 31st.

I hope that you can join in on the fun!

Convention Fun with Fabric

(Tired about hearing about the Stampin' Up! Convention yet?? I hope not...because I have SO much more to share with you! If I haven't said it enough...you just HAVE to go to Convention 2012 if you get a chance!!)

I don't know about you, but I am in LOVE with the Designer Fabric that Stampin' Up! came out with. I love the patterns, I love the assortment...and I love the project ideas that we got to see at Convention...

Everything from a simple apron (notice the NEW fabric??)

....to a super cute marker holder! I am SO making this for my kids. Simple...and you only need to sew straight lines (something I can actually do!)

Not sure how well you can see this one...but it's a message board using the Timeless Portrait fabric. LOOOOVVVEEE IT!

What I also enjoyed was that besides TONS of card samples (those I will be sharing some of too..don't worry!) There were so GREAT fabric project displays...

This picture uses the Springtime Vintage fabric

(Click the pictures to enlarge).
There is a sweet and oh-so-pretty grouping of items using the Beau Chateau line

(NEW Fabric Alert!!)
This one is called Spice Cake that will be available in the upcoming Holiday Mini Catalog

(NEW fabric alert!!)
How about Holly Berry Bouquet?

If you haven't had a chance to discover the Designer Fabric that Stampin' Up! offers, check out page 196 in your 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog.  You can see all the yummy designs and fabulous colors that are available.  Remember, your fabric WORKS WITH YOUR BIG SHOT...so you can use the dies to quilt, add fabric embellishments to your scrapbooks and cards...and SO MUCH MORE.  If you have any questions about the fabric or any of the project you've seen here, feel free to contact me!

+One

Now, Stampin' Up!'s theme for this year is "+One"...They are challenging us to  kick everything up a notch and do one more workshop....or create one more fabulous project with our customers.  So, in the spirit of +One I am going to share one more picture from Convention with you.

As Demonstrators we were able to sign up for a special +Fun class one of the evenings.  I chose the "Village of Cuteness" class. I read the description and KNEW it had my name written all over it!! Here's what we made....

How adorable is this??

We painted blocks of precut wood and adorned them with all the delicious papers (including the WOOD SHEETS) and other fun embellishments to create our village.  My plans are to decorate my little village up for the holidays with some of the new Mica Flakes and Jingle Bells that are coming soon...wait, did I just let some new product announcements spill out???

Oops.

I have SO much more to share with you....please keep coming back to see!
You WON'T be disappointed..

Convention Eye Candy

I've learned since being at the Stampin' Up! Convention for the first time last week, that when you see this sign (above) you are going to have your senses taken away from you!  The creativity and inspiration is beyond amazing.  Today I thought you'd like to see some of the awe inspiring displays and vignettes that we got the privilege of looking at (and talking TONS of pictures of!)

This was hanging over the center of the vignette display area.  That, my friends, is ALOT of gorgeous, yummy ribbon!! What I love about it...how it's hung from a simple branch. LOVE it!

Each little area highlighted a specific product suite. Watch out for the NEW product suites along the way! Here is the Paisley Petals area.

Pretty, Pretty, Pretty!! Here is the Flirtatious product suite.

How cute are they paper flowers made from DSP (Designer Series Paper)

"Just Add Cake" suite...LOVE the banner!  Made with our NEW Pennat Die!

"Well Worn"....

Check out these boots!!!

Okay, "Berry Blossoms" is probably one of my favorite product suites in the new catalog.  Check how how insanely CUTE this is...

...little paper strawberries!!

Doesn't this make you get excited about making Valentine Cards??
I am SO finding a little lantern like this and copying this idea!!

This is the vignette from the "Domestic Goddess" product suite.SO cute, fresh and fun!

...And who doesn't like a good baby display? The "Nursery Nest" suite is just perfect for this display!

I'm going to end my little Show & Tell today with a Product Suite that I honestly didn't love before I left for Convention....and came home in LOVE with!! (See, that's how they getcha'!)

This super cute bird was made out of the "Timeless Portrait" DSP.  We actually got to play with the fabric during our Make & Take Projects (Just WAIT) until you see them!!

Another small vignette using Timeless Portrait.

So, have I inspired you enough for today?? I have a bunch more pictures to share that feature fabrics, card idea and the +FUN class I took...."Village of Cuteness".

I hope you'll join me again tomorrow!

Looking back on Convention-Day 1

I'm back!!

I had SUCH good intentions of posting on my blog every night of Convention...but add very long days and very short nights...plus a hotel where you could only get free wi-fi in the lobby...well, you get it!

So, here is my look back at the first day of Convention.  I can't really even begin to explain want a Stampin' Up! convention is like....you really need to be there to truly "get it".  I've been hearing about Convention for YEARS and I didn't get it....well, I got it now!!

The first day was filled with LOTS of fantastic info and (the BEST part) a SNEAK PEAK at the NEW HOLIDAY MINI!!  All I can say is...Oh.my.gosh.  I'm not allowed to show you the catalogs (which I have ready and waiting for you on September 1st!) or the product in them...but, trust me.....you will LOOOOVVVVEEEE it!  I'm planning my classes now!!

BUT, before we get into all of that, let's start at the beginning...shall we?

The theme of this years event was "GROW"...an entire seeds, planting, growing your garden theme.  Here's what Main Stage looked like

And, of course, it wouldn't be Convention with out a Theme Song (I'm hoping to find a digital download to share with you, it's actually quite a catchy song...and it's still in my head!)

The song kinda had an "islandy" vibe to it...should have figured it would be some sort of foreshadowing for a BIG ANNOUNCEMENT later in the week!

The stage changed color constantly...it was so cool!

After Shelly (Gardner..Stampin' Up! Founder and Grand PooBa) they went right into what we were all hoping to see....NEW PRODUCT!

Box by box they unvieled items from the new Holiday Mini!

As I mentioned, I am not allowed to show you the new product...but that doesn't mean I can't show you some projects used WITH the product!! It's kinda like playing "I Spy"...

Hmmm....see any new Fall items in this beautiful display?

Maybe this will help...a little closer. Hey, is that NEW FABRIC I see??

And if you're thinking about Fall...you're thinking about Halloween!

The Christmas Items are just Fantastic...here's a VERY SMALL sneak peak

Wait, how did they make those CUTE STOCKINGS....with that NEW FABRIC??

At the end of the "unveiling" of the boxes...there was just ONE MORE...

You KNOW if Shelly is on stage...it MUST be a big deal! What was under here is a BIG PRODUCT ANNOUNCEMENT that I can't talk about just yet.  Let's just say it's something you've been asking for  scores of times!

Here's one last hint....after the product announcement we all ran back to Momento Mall to purchase the bag that was designed for it!

Momento Mall Display

There she is in all her handmade goodness! What would fit perfectly in that bag?? And where have I seen that fabric before...hmmmm

But the NEW product that I am just GIDDY about is what creates these:

Get those Christmas Wish Lists ready....you are going to WANT to have the product that does this on your list...

Plus I know you'll want it to make those Holiday gifts as well!

Oh, did I mention the GIVE AWAYS yet??

e all got an ENTIRE PACK of the new Holiday Mini..which is GREAT so we can share them right away come September 1st!  But them we found out that we were all going home with a "Workshop in a Bag"!  Complete with a Hostess Gift Project, a card to demonstrate and enough supplies to make a third Make and Take with our guests!!

Here's a picture of the super cute Tag holder with mini tags for our Hostess Gift!!! Do you LOVE IT?? The first person who books a workshop with me in either July or August is going to get this!!! Contact me if you want to be that lucky person!!

We also got a Simply Sent Kit along with the Stamp Set to go with it!!  I've been dying to play with these...now I have them! Yeah!

Here's a sample board showcasing the line...

.
Wow.

Okay, I have to show you one more project for tonight.  As soon as I laid my eyes on this holiday project, I KNEW that I would HAVE to make it....and I knew YOU would want to make it too!!

So, here's a sneak peak at an upcoming Holiday Project that I'll be offering sometime this Fall...
(Hold on to your hat!! And see if you can find all the new product that you'll be able to play with!)

I LOVE THIS!!!

So, that is Day One is a VERY small nutshell....I haven't even started to show you pictures from the Demo Resource Center....stay tuned for those tomorrow!

Convention Check In Day!

Wow.
That's pretty much all the energy I have to explain today right now...but, wow.

I knew that Convention was fun, I knew that people loved to go...but I truly had no idea what I was in for.  And today is ONLY CHECK IN DAY.  Yup, the real meat and potatoes starts tomorrow for the 2,000-3,000 of us that are lucky enough to be here.

(Just a note: I am running on about 2 hours of sleep right now and going on a 15 hours day.  So, enjoy the pictures, but excuse me if my comments are incoherent!)

We were up around 6:00am this morning (after finally falling asleep close to 3ish) to get in line for Check In Day.  Today was JAM PACKED with activities....

Everyone starting to line up outside Salt Palace for Convention

First stop...Memento Mall!

This is pretty much where you get the opportunity to get your hands on some really cool, exclusive Stampin' Up! toys as well as some fantastic business tools.  Wanna See?

MDS branded laptop skins and mouse pads

Umbrellas (got one!)

ADORABLE lunch bags and mugs (got them too!)

...and a TON  of other stuff...some, of which I can't show you, because they will be HOSTESS GIFTS, DOWNLINE/NEW RECRUIT GIFTS and of, course, something for Mom!! (Speaking of which, MOM, you NEED to sign up to be a Demonstrator...you NEED to see this!)

Here is my very full bag of some VERY fun things!! Woo Hoo!!

Next Stop...Bag Pick Up & Awards Booth!

One of the exciting things of Convention is that you find out if you've won yearly awards, get ADDITIONAL free stamp sets, and find out if you've won the Incentive Trip (which is Disney this year).  This was a big deal for a bunch of members on my team...THREE won the incentive trip and Aly, my upline, (once again) got Founder's Circle (Top 100 demonstrator). This is a BIG deal...and comes with some BIG
bonuses and free gifts...plus a super cool purse!!

Aly finding out she got Founder's Circle
(I want to be her some day!!)

Now, time to get our BAGS!!

Check out our bags!!! We get these for FREE for attending and they are FILLED with all sort of fabulous things!

See all these stamp sets?? Mine. Free. In the bag.  Yep, I'm a happy camper!!!

(on a side note, while we were waiting in line for Memento Mall there was a video playing of one of the Make N Takes we'll be doing....You are going to DIE when we see how fabulous they are!!! I can't wait to make ours!!! (Saturday, I think)

Okay, back to the bag...

If you know me, you know that I LOVE office supplies. Especially pretty ones!! Check out this awesome binder!! Why it's super cool? They entire Stampin' Up! catalog was disassembled and printed out to find in our pretty binder with all the pretty tabs to separate the catalog sections.  LOVE IT!

A quick stop for lunch at Olive Garden, and then we hopped on a bus and left for the Stampin' Up! home office tour in Riverton, Utah.

Could there not be a more beautiful place to work??

We got to tour the beautiful and impeccable clean building and got to see the distribution center, meet the Demonstrator Support Reps, and my most favorite thing....

(Warning:  Be prepared to have your socks knocked off)

There is a part of the building called the Legacy Room...a place of inspiration and some amazing creativity at Stampin' Up!

Paper Crafted Yumminess!

I could just eat these all up!

How cute are these??

Table Place Setting

My dream workstation

You know the Stencils we carry?? Check this out!! Makes me want to get out that stipple brush!

Vintage Fabulousness

So, we get back from Riverton and our day is hardly over yet!!

Stampin' Up! put on a "Garden Party" for us tonight. The whole theme and name of Convention is "Grow" with the whole garden/plant theme

The Gathering Place

There was a contest to see how had the best sun hat, here's a couple fun ones!

How cute are they??

During the whole thing there were games, prize patrols, and a TON of product demonstrations that we would watch.  SO much creativity everywhere.

And, that, my friends is the end to Check In Day.

I can't even begin to explain what today has meant to me. I am lucky and fortunate to have been able to come this year. Without Mom's help getting me here and Mike's help watching my four little ones while I'm gone...I could not have been here.  If you are a demonstrator...you NEED to come to convention if you haven't already.  If you aren't an demonstrator, but want to be apart of this fantastic experience, you NEED sign up just for nothing else but having the opportunity to be here.  Speaking of being a new Demonstrator, you HAVE to see the Christmas kit you get for joining in July (they have it on display and I almost FELL OVER when I say it..that picture online does in NO justice...

This sucker is BIG and it's BEAUTIFUL!!
If you want one, contact me and I can give you all the details once I get back!

I can't even imagine what's in store for us tomorrow and for the rest of the week.  Stay tuned & I'll show you!!
